Arete Scholars Fund is a state-approved Student Scholarship Organization (SSO) that administers the Georgia Tuition Tax Credit Scholarship Program for low‐income families. Through contributions from corporate and philanthropic partners, Arete awards need-based K4-12 scholarships and empowers parents to choose a school that best suits their child's unique gifts, talents, and learning needs.

Gateway has been serving Birmingham, Alabama through various social services longer than any other agency (over 120 years!). Gateway primarily serves children and familes in the areas of credit cousneling, foster care services, violence intervention, and other community and support services. In fact, Gateway is host to over a dozen specialized programs that serve thousands each year.
